How to eat your dessert?

There is no need to be guilty if you enjoy dessert/sweet once in a while. Cravings for sweet can be handled in a right way too. Food should be enjoyed while eating and not gulped down to fill up the stomach.

How to handle food cravings:

1. Diverting or engaging mind in other activity.

2. Avoiding long gaps between meals.

3. Controlling portions of food you are craving for. (For some people completely avoiding the food actually makes things worse.)

4. Replacing cravings with more nutritious food. Eg. Natural sugars like fig, date or black raisins than processed sweets.
